Looking to be treated like royalty in England's energetic capital? We know a place (or ten). From historic wine bars to modern tea times, the Garmentory crew has rounded up our favorite mix of old and new across London. Cheerio, get ready to go.
The Wallace Collection Museum
Pictured above
London is home to an amazing array of museums, but the Wallace Collection is a bit of a hidden gem. Housed in a stunning 18th-century mansion, the museum is easily visited in under two hours. Inside, you'll find masterpieces by artists like Titian, Rembrandt, and Fragonard, a collection amassed by an aristocrat of the era and later bequeathed to the city.
Kew Gardens
Pictured above
Half an hour from Westminster, Kew Gardens has the largest and most diverse botanical and mycological collections in the world. Wander through the plant houses, take a walk through the treetops, and enjoy the fresh air like visitors have been doing since the garden opened nearly 200 years ago.
sketch
Tea time! There are any number of venues for high tea in the city, but Sketch is arguably the most fun. Enjoy tiers of tea snacks in The Gallery, a stunning art-filled space that you'll need to book well in advance. Sketch is also home to the city's most futuristic bathroom (pictured above).
Brawn
In a charming neighborhood next to the Colombia Road Flower Market, Brawn is an intimate small-plates venue perfect for a date night. The menu changes daily based on seasonal ingredients, and the extensive wine list has something for everyone.
Ave Mario & Gloria

Go for the Instagram shot, stay for delicious Italian fare. The Big Mamma restaurant group is known for its elaborate interiors, but the food and service make these trattorias more than just a hipster haunt. Of the group's 23 restaurants across Europe, five are in London. Ave Mario and Gloria are our two favorites.
Dishoom
Inspired by the Irani cafรฉs of Bombay, Dishoom is London's most famous Indian restaurant, and for good reason. The rich curries, warm naan, and signature black daal are what dreams are made of. With several locations across the city, There's no excuse not to pop by.
Gordonโs Wine Bar
London's oldest wine bar has been open since 1890. Get that 19th-century vibe with a table in the candlelit cellar.
Pick & Cheese
Pictured above
Some absolute genius took the technology of a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant but made it cheese. Take a seat while over 20 cheeses, all sourced from around the UK, glide past you with perfect pairings. Wednesdays are bottomless plate days where you can stuff yourself full of endless cheese plates for an hour and 15 minutes for only ยฃ28 per person.
Beigel Bake
Pictured above
"There is no bad time for a bagel" is the unofficial slogan of Beigel Bake, open 24 hours, seven days a week. Do not skip the salt beef (British English for corned beef) bagel with pickles and mustard, which tastes incredible at 3:00 a.m. after a night at the pubsโor at noon after a night at the pubs ๐.
